White Cloud, KS — Nuweh, LLC proudly participated in the Iowa Tribe of Kansas & Nebraska (ITKN) Boys & Girls Club Trunk or Treat, a fun-filled evening that brought together families, community members, and tribal departments for a celebration of culture, connection, and Halloween spirit.

This year, Nuweh showed up in full festive fashion with a truck bed full with candy, delighting children who came dressed in their best Halloween costumes. The event was more than just an opportunity for treats — it was a true gathering of the ITKN community.

The interior of the community center was meticulously decorated for Halloween, featuring vibrant displays, themed décor, and a bounce house that transformed the space into a festive hub of activity. Laughter filled the air as children darted between tables, collecting candy, playing games, and enjoying the day’s activities. Guests were treated to drinks, chips, and sandwiches, creating the perfect environment for families to relax, share stories, and enjoy time together.

Adding to the excitement was a Halloween train, which carried children around the event grounds. The best part? Some of the older Boys & Girls Club students volunteered to help run the train, showing leadership and giving back by helping younger kids enjoy the ride safely. This simple act captured the heart of what the event was all about — community, mentorship, and shared joy across generations.

Throughout the event, Nuweh representatives connected with other tribal entities, including the ITKN Housing Authority, Tribal Police Department, and the Fish & Wildlife Department. The Fish & Wildlife Department, represented by Scott Elrod, shared information about their conservation efforts as well as how hunting and fishing operate on tribal land — blending cultural tradition with sustainability and stewardship of the land.

Nuweh, LLC is honored to be part of the ITKN’s continuing efforts to build strong, vibrant communities through events like Trunk or Treat. As a tribally owned enterprise, Nuweh remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote education, cultural connection, and community pride — ensuring that traditions of generosity and unity continue to thrive for generations to come.
